Your job
As a driven, enthusiastic and ambitious Software Designer, you’ll be part of a team working on state-of-the-art projects. These projects are carried out on-site with our customers in the High-Tech industry, or take place at our own offices. Our projects cover the entire process, ranging from the definition of requirements phase with the customer to delivery, which requires the necessary expertise in one or more programming languages.
As a Software Designer, you’ll have a diverse position, which involves working on various challenging projects for healthcare, smart robotics, space & defense, automotive, transport, infrastructure & logistics and research clusters.
Within Topics, we take an Agile approach to our projects, which means you’ll start off the day with a stand-up meeting with your team and have weekly or bi-weekly sprints, depending on the project. You’ll have your own responsibilities within the team like the design, helping the team out and you’ll be free to schedule your own work day and your work. In addition to technical competences skills, a Software Designer at Topic must also have good leaderships skills to help the team and communication skills, because you’ll have direct contact with our customers.
Your profile
We are looking for candidates who fit the following profile:
- An University or Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, Physics and/or Mathematics;
- You have 5+ years of relevant work experience in software development; at least 1 year in the Netherlands or 2 years in EU.
- Excellent knowledge and experience in development methods and techniques as design patterns, UML, Scrum, Agile.
- Collaboration is very important so we are looking for people who like to work in a team;
- Because you will communicate with our clients on regular base it is important to have good social- and communication skills;
