Senior Software Engineer, AI Remote
Description
• Build software to help humans flourish through AI/ML technologies.
• Work with engineers on products across a modern tech stack including NodeJS, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Design and implement systems for high-quality outputs from AI/ML systems.
• Develop and maintain monitoring of evaluation systems for LLM-based applications.
• Assist in debugging and troubleshooting existing applications, focusing on functionality and performance optimized for AI/ML.
• Drive implementation of complex projects requiring cross-functional collaboration.
• Contribute to engineering practices, improving team output in AI/ML integration.
Requirements
• 5+ years of professional experience writing and maintaining production-level applications, with at least 2 years of experience working with AI/ML technologies.
• Production-level experience writing full stack code in a modern programming language like Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience implementing and maintaining AI/ML systems in production environments.
• Familiar with best practices for deploying and monitoring non-deterministic AI systems in production.
• SQL knowledge for efficient data modeling and performant queries in relational databases like PostgreSQL.
• Seek out root causes when debugging software defects, championing improvements that prevent future issues.
• Passionate about clean code, DRY patterns, and high-performance code in software engineering and AI/ML contexts.
• Clear and concise in explaining thought processes and tradeoffs, particularly with AI/ML systems.
• Strong communication skills, able to explain complex AI/ML concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
