What you should expect from your role:
- being the very first DevOps-focused engineer in our company and in our software development team
- setting up an SRE culture and environment by bringing in your experience and sharing with our two cross-functional teams
- optimising our monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting
- improving our release management and our CI/CD pipelines
- helping out with managing our cloud infrastructure and further migrating local workloads into the cloud
- using state-of-the-art technology and the openness to always find the best solution
What we expect from you:
- multiple years of experience with managing Docker or other containerisation solutions in a production environment
- a very good understanding of container orchestration technologies, preferably Kubernetes
- deep knowledge of automation tools and configuration management – we use Terraform and Ansible
- very good knowledge of at least one logging, monitoring and tracing solution for a microservice architecture
- years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and at least one cloud provider (preferably AWS)
- a good understanding of code – preferably NodeJS – as well as experience with databases are definitely a plus
