(Senior) Backend Engineer (Golang) – Consumer Foundation (f/m/d) at Delivery Hero SE (Berlin, Germany)

We are looking for a (Senior) Backend Engineer (Golang) (f/m/d) to join our Consumer Foundation Tribe team and help us build the most scalable and reliable platform. You’ll be working on core services of our platform with millions of transactions a day together with a high skilled engineering team.

Your mission:

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software.

  • Coaching and mentoring team members.

  • Take part in architectural decision making.

  • Understanding development lifecycle and collaborate with cross-functional and international agile teams. 

Your heroic skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or practical experience.

  • Extensive experience in Golang

  • Experience working with distributed and parallel systems and web applications.

  • Practical experience with Design Driven Development, SOLID Principles, Hexagonal and Event-driven Architecture, Algorithms and automated tests (unit, integration and functional).

  • Good knowledge of relational databases (You should be aware of normal forms, ACID, isolation levels, index anatomy)

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced software release environment.

  • Very good communication skills in English, both written and spoken. 

  • Flexible and open-minded personality and comfortable working in a multicultural environment. 

Our stack consists of:

  • Microservice architecture.

  • Redis, Elasticsearch, SQL and key-value storage, AMQP.

  • Cloud-based infrastructure following 12 factors using Kubernetes/Docker.

  • Go as main language (and some PHP)
