The Technische Informationsbibliothek (TIB) – Leibniz Information Centre for Science and Technology – Program Area C, Research and Development, offers the position of a
Research Software Engineer (m/f/d)
to work in the Visual Analytics Research Group (Prof. Dr. Ralph Ewerth) starting from April 1st, 2021.
The position is initially limited to two years with envisioned extension. The regular weekly working time is 39.8 hours (full-time). The position is generally suitable for part-time work. The remuneration of the position is based on pay scale group 13 TV-L.
Your main task will be the development of innovative software solutions in the context of the project “B!SON: The Bibliometric and Semantic Open Access Recommender Network”, which is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). The project is carried out in cooperation with the Saxon State and University Library Dresden (SLUB) and targets the development of a recommendation service for quality-assured open access journals. The objective is to recommend suitable open access journals for publication, based on the title and abstract of a given manuscript. In B!SON, TIB is responsible for project coordination, community participation and the below-stated software development tasks. Beyond that, you will be involved in other projects of the research group.
