Frontend Engineer at funda (Amsterdam, Netherlands)

Your job
They may say that you are a front-end professional, but you would rather see yourself as a well-rounded Software Engineer. You have a creative mind with an eye for quality and know your way around frameworks like Vue.js. You wouldn’t want to call yourself a Full-Stack Engineer but you know enough to have an informed discussion on how to properly build an API.
You will be part of a product team that, together with Designers and other Software Engineers, creates and maintains interfaces used by millions.
Funda will provide you with an environment that gives you flexibility to learn on the spot while asking you to share that knowledge at the same time.
Your team
You will work with the Insights Team, which is responsible for enhancing part of the funda experience so all house buyers can find their ideal home. The goal is to offer users everything they want to know about the property and the area in which it is located. We are looking for someone that would like to extend this domain and wants to drive the team to the next level.
If you care about performance and accessibility while delivering the best user experience you will fit right in.
Your profile
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a comparable role
- Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript
- Experience with Vue.js
- A track record of building complex applications with simple code
- Enthusiastic about new technologies and prepared to experiment with those
- Experience with Agile methods (we use Scrum)
Experience with the following would make us extra happy:
- Deep understanding of front-end performance
- Utility-first CSS frameworks like Tailwind CSS
- Experience building applications with Nuxt.js
