Director of Software Engineering – Non Commission Revenue (f/m/d) at Delivery Hero SE (Berlin, Germany)
We are looking for a Director of Software Engineering(f/m/d) to join our “Non Commission Revenue” team. Contribute to the creation of our next generation platform, that works on generating new revenue streams for our core business. Your mission:

You will be leading multiple teams to optimize and automate tools which generate revenue on the one side but are happily used by our partners as well.

You work on a next generation platform for advertisement with real-time bidding, personalization and high concurrencies. You drive your teams to technical excellence via agile methodology. The services which we are building are the basis for over 40 countries and brands with customers ordering around the clock.

You don’t shy away from building reliable, scalable systems with high concurrency and are always eager to learn new languages and technologies with your teams.

You will as well guide & drive the hiring process as well being disciplinary responsible for your team setup and their members.
Your heroic skills:
-
5+ years of experience with a key focus on modern web applications and cloud services, ideally in large scale distributed microservice systems.

Knowledge in at least 50% of the mentioned technologies: Python, Golang, Java, Typescript, Postgres, BigQuery, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, REST, gRPC, AWS, GCP, NewRelic or Datadog.

Ensure stability, performance , scalability & security of the systems and services you own.

Collaborate closely & efficiently with product management and other departments to build new products and features that match business requirements with pragmatic technical solutions with modern engineering principles.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear business focus.

Drive quarterly and long-term objectives and key results with full responsibility for executing the OKRs.

Mentor and grow your people and teams on a daily basis to form an excellent engineering organization.

Ability to strive always for clean, tested and well documented code across your team.

Eagerness to work in a fast-paced, fault-tolerant, agile environment on cross-functional teams.

Solid English communication skills.

Excited to learn and try out new things.
