Senior Backend Python || MongoDB || Kubernetes [EU/UK] Contract Freelance Temporary

The Client

The client is a global leader in management consulting. The Project

Our client is aiming to create a pricing tool as a SaaS for private banks to calculate pricing for high net worth individuals. Because it’s individualized, banks lose track of what discount they offered where and it’s difficult to understand if they actually make money on the account. They need to implement new functionality based on top of the existing code base, but the project is relativelly new. Everything is super fresh – not more than 3-4 months old, build with the highest standards – there is super professional, well documented and maintainable code already, so it will be a pleasure to work on it.

This is a greenfield project with no legacy code.

Your role

• You will join the team as a Backend Python developer and:
• Help build the new SaaS pricing tool which will be individualised for each bank.
  Work in Agile methodology (kanban) to ensure the highest standard of code

Your profile

• You are a senior Backend engineer with expertise in pure Python
• You are experienced with Unit Testing, PyTest
• You are comfortable around AWS, Kubernetes, Docker
• You are familiar with MongoDB and CI/CD
• You have good verbal English skills
• You are a proactive team member, like to discuss technical implementation, voicing your opinion instead of just executing
• You are used to work in an Agile team (Kanban)
• You are creative and you are comfortable challenging existing or proposed solutions if you do not think they will work for the current goal
• You are an EU or UK citizen and based in the EU or UK while you are working on the project (you can take holiday and travel, but need to be inside EU when working for GDPR reasons)
• You are happy to travel to meet up with the team 1-2 times per year

Bonus if you:

• Have a mathematical background
• Have experience in Fintech or Financial calculations
• Have experience with ETL, Data loading
